As part of National Apprenticeship week Employers and training providers are encouraged to promote the amazing successes of their apprentices, while highlighting the benefits apprentices bring to their business and wider economy in Wales. Pengwin nominated Hallmark Luxury Care Homes for Employer Of The Year Award and we were there to help celebrate their winning nomination.
Pengwin has proudly partnered with Hallmark Care Homes across South Wales for over a decade. Hallmark is a proactive, forward-thinking organisation that invests in its staff by providing training and upskilling opportunities through the Foundation, Apprenticeship, and Higher Apprenticeship programmes.
Learners thrive in Hallmark’s supportive environments, where learning is embedded into the working day. Managers go beyond expectations, making professional development a natural and valued part of their culture.
Hallmark also works tirelessly to break down barriers to learning, particularly for those whose first language is not English, promoting inclusion and preventing disengagement.
Behind the scenes, Hallmark’s Administration Teams play a vital role, ensuring smooth processes and helping us as a training provider to engage effectively with learners.
Their results speak for themselves: an impressive 87% of staff achieving their apprenticeship framework, 21% of learners progressing to higher-level qualifications, and a staff retention rate of 90% — well above the national average. This reflects their dedication to excellence and their ongoing commitment to the care sector.
Pengwin is proud to work alongside such an outstanding organisation. Hallmark Care Homes truly exemplify what the Employer of the Year award represents.
